Here’s from my second week aboard the Station to Station train.
I spent two weeks on a train moving through the southwest. Wired sent me there to document Doug Aitken’s Station to Station nomadic art project. The train consisted of vintage coaches repurposed to carry artists, journalists, musicians and a bunch of folks from Levi’s. During my portion we stopped six times and staged events featuring installations, live music, performance art, and short films. As much as I appreciated the events, I really loved riding the train. It was my first time seeing the southwest and the train was an ideal vessel for that experience. Here’s some stuff from the first week.
