Each year I shoot the “Holistic Holiday at Sea” (a Caribbean cruise that caters to vegans and macrobiotics). I’ve posted photos from it before and this past years look pretty similar to previous years, so this is a very different look at the cruise. Some of these shots are of the Holistic cruisers, but most are of the rest of the people occupying the ship. I think cruise culture is very interesting.
Momentous photos!
the woman with her hand on her head in the window is great
The first one is my favorite. I’ve never seen a cruise ship in real life, so the photo impresses me with their gargantuan statures. And good to meet ya, finally! Hope you survived the rest of camp and managed to scrub your brain of the cloying songs.
1. Looks like Wall-E.
2. I’m starting to understand the appeal of this grain thing.
3. The photo of that girl in the window is super cheeseball, regardless of Will’s achievement.
what exactly was goin on with the young ladies and the gentleman in thaaaat photo ? haha. looks suspect. hope your back in nc when i get in town…DOPe photos mike. peaceeeee
Wonderful!
NO that photo with the girl in the window is BEAUTIFUL, the sadness in her left eye and happiness in the right eye and makes for a lot of magic.
Love these, Mike. Even if the girl in the window is super-cheeseball.
its time to read “a supposedly fun thing i’ll never do again” by david foster wallace. it might speak to whatever interested you about cruise culture
