This is the story of the slow steady demise of my good friend Luke Broussard. Luke has been known to hit the bottle every now and again. On April 12th of this year, Luke woke up and began drinking. somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd 24 pack of pabst he decided that he was going to switch heel flip Trevi.

We got to the spot and Luke was feeling good.

After rolling up for about 45 minutes he flails the first attempt.

He landed weird and was flopping around on the ground holding his foot. We all kind of laughed thinking he was drunk and being dramatic.

He got a little upset at us for not taking him seriously.

This went on for about another 45 minutes.

Rorey, being the tender individual that he is, finally gave Luke the attention he needed.

And so it began. Without the one thing that distracted Luke from drinking, things went down hill real fast.

Several days later the foot was still looking rough, but he didn’t have health insurance so he couldn’t go to the hospital.

So he went to acupuncture instead.

The acupuncture helped ease the pain for a little bit, but once that wore off Luke turned to the therapeutic needle that never fails… No not heroin.

I don’t think you are supposed to drink and get tatoos, but your not supposed to drink and drive either and that’s never stopped him from doing that, so I guess it’s straight.

Luke has gotten about 8 tats in the past 4 months.

This tattoo is supposed to represent everything that’s wrong with Luke’s skateboarding. You will have to have him go into the details for you.

I think this one is my favorite. Otis is the man.

Just another day in the life.

Most of the destruction happens after dark and I never have my camera out then, so I don’t know if I have properly documented the extent of Luke’s belligerence, but I think you get the idea.
Luke is still unable to skate and is still holding the tittle of “Asheville’s drunkest dude” despite the honorable efforts by such people as Brunt, Molnar, Dylan, etc.
Get well soon Homie… Welcome to the Push team!
