Bryan was telling me about this documentary photography class that he is taking. His first assignment was to meet a complete stranger and photograph them inside their house. I thought is sounded like fun so I decided to give it a try. It’s not quite as gnarley of an assignment here as it is in NYC, so Bryan gets way more props. Can’t wait to see what he did with it. Here’s what I got.
I can’t remember her name. I’m not so great on the journalistic end, but she was 91 years old.
She was extremely hard of hearing, so even yelling in her ear I couldn’t get much across.
She had lots of black angels decorating her house.
She was a very nice lady
Kristen found this kitten dying out on the street, so we took it in and tried to save it, but it was too far gone. RIP kitty.
I bought a bling filter.
black abgels are in
angels
A+. I bet that kitty is a happy black angel right now.
i really like the close up of her….you definately captured the lighting well.
her name is katie. she will turn 92 on mar 22 2008, the day before my birthday. her oldest son, of whom she was extremely proud, died on her birthday last year. he was in the airforce in alaska and was a hero to her and to our country. She is almost, if not completly, deaf and could not understand why we wanted her photograph. she asked that her picture not go in the newspaper because her house was a mess. she then informed me that if she saw her picture in the paper, that the lord would not bless me. which he since has.
