Buganda is the largest kingdom or tribe in present-day Uganda. They constitute the ethnic majority.
Kasubi tombs, the place of burial for the Buganda kings, caught fire in March of this year. As a result, the kings remains and the structures in these pictures were destroyed. These pictures were taken just 3 months before this site was destroyed.
It is believed that the fires were man-made and politically motivated.
This man in yellow is the tombs caretaker.
