Hi-Octane

On this day two years ago, I was in the midst of the best week of my life. I was surrounded by 15 of my closest friends from New York, California, and North Carolina at cabin just outside my hometown. We had a waterfall in the backyard and hundreds more within an hour drive. We spent the next six days jumping off of shit, sliding down shit, singing at the tops of our lungs, making delicious food, and experiencing that sense of freedom and forever that you only get from fucking off in the woods with the people you love. This trip was the benchmark. So much so that my photos could never do it justice. If I never have another trip that tops this one, I’ll still die happy.

Skate Barge

The two most important activities in my life have been skateboarding and photography. For the most part, I keep them pretty separate. But recently Nike asked me to shoot a little assignment on their traveling skate barge for Go Skateboarding Day. It was a fun shoot. Saw some childhood heroes and some skateboarders that are almost too good to appreciate.
