Somnambulance

One Friday last month, I was commissioned to board a double-decker tour bus draped in pink mylar carrying four marching bands in pajamas and distributing a thousand yellow balloons throughout Manhattan. This surreal voyage was called The Rally for Dreams, a performance art piece by Chili Moon Town. The Rally for Dreams was like a gust of colorful wind breathing life back into a city where dreams are all but forgotten. The bands played loud and cacophonous and a operatic soprano sang us all to sleep. If I didn’t see it with my own eyes, I would have believed it was all a dream.

Went to North Carolina for a couple weddings. Everything is still the same.

Halloween ’94

Halloween party. 1994 themed. I dressed as Simon Woodstock. We made a skateboard from a bass guitar. Despite a line around the block, the party had a comfortable population density. After Jesus Lizard and Bad Brains there was a band that played a whole set of Weezer covers. Just enough fun, except I lost the skateboard. Some hesher is riding around thinking he’s the next Les Claypool.
