the getting there

Planes, trains and automobiles. Subway, buses and boats. This is about being in transit during the last month. This is about what’s beyond the window.

“The most remarkable thing about coming home to you is the feeling of being in motion again. It’s the most extraordinary thing in the world.”

you managed to capture the legless petersburg soldier – something which is all around that place, but so hard to point a camera at. you got the crowded subway station where you stand up against someone's butt in line for the escalator and take babysteps, feeling regrettably like cattle, you've captured the guy drinking his tea on the overnight train in the old soviet cups. i wanna learn how to get behind the camera in these moments, it's so much easier to let them go.
