It’s a primary color, a staple of the crayola eight-pack, Leonardo’s mask, Superman’s tights, a Smurf’s race. But Blue is also a mood (later translated into a musical genre). As a mood, it’s generally unwelcome, but as a color it’s ubiquitous. Like you can’t avoid the color (unless you’ve got some screwy chromosomes), you can’t always avoid the mood. And thus, Blue permeates our existence; and our photographs. There was an almost overwhelming number of submissions–a flood of Blue–and the following represents a cross-section of the bluest photographs from our lovely, proud and sometimes melancholic contributors.
